Ruby Fortune built a massive following with equally massive progressive jackpots, top-notch benefits, and immersive games that work flawlessly on desktop or mobile devices. While the casino first opened their doors to international players in 2003, they came to Ontario in 2022. 

They have a sizable game collection, and daily benefits make it worth your while to log in for frequent sessions. Special benefits like personalized benefits and loyalty perks give new players every reason to get started. I’m documenting how it all works in my Ruby Fortune review. 

I created a new account, played games with real money, and opted into benefit after benefit so I could give you the inside scoop. I’m explaining the obvious (and not-so-obvious) pros and cons of playing at Ruby Fortune right here.

Ruby Fortune stands out from competing platforms with a unique focus on majorly impressive progressive jackpots, frequent opportunities, and top-notch live dealer games in full HD. In this section, I’m comparing Ruby Fortune to Wildz and Casumo, two casinos I’ve also been enjoying lately. 

However, Ruby Fortune’s Wheel makes up for this discrepancy over the long-term with potential benefits every four hours. Their loyalty program is also a huge plus. 

Ruby Fortune also comes in last place with 450+ total games compared to Casumo’s 1,052+ games and Wildz’ gigantic collection of 1,300+ titles. If you’re looking for pure numbers, you’d be better at one of the other sites. 

However, Ruby Fortune is definitely competitive in terms of quality. You won’t find Ruby Fortune’s Mega Millionaire Wheel anywhere else, for instance. Ruby Fortune’s software is provided by Microgaming, a software company that’s won over 60 iGaming-related awards for consistently dominating the industry. The gaming menu features titles from other top providers too, including Pragmatic Play. 

Ruby Fortune has the best progressive jackpot games of the entire trio. I had the chance to play Mega Moolah. Casumo doesn’t have any progressive jackpot games, and Wildz’ high-volatility slots don’t have a top prize listed. If you’re a sucker for classics and the chance to win mind-boggling sums of cash, Ruby Fortune should be right up your alley.

Ruby Fortune’s user interface is very beginner-friendly, but it definitely appears dated on desktop and mobile. Because they don’t have an app, I had to use the website on my computer and my smartphone. Depending on your desire for simplicity, you’re either going to love or hate their UI. 

I don’t like that it’s somewhat difficult to find their customer support options. I had to dig through Ruby Fortune’s Help Centre and open up an FAQ before seeing the live chat and phone contact buttons. At the very least, they offer comprehensive information about withdrawals, benefits, technical support, deposit queries, games, using their safety tools, and verifying your account. 

If you like simplicity, you’ll like Ruby Fortune. If you’re hoping for a more modern or flashy interface, maybe not.

Even if you’ve never played online casino games before, you won’t have a problem signing up with Ruby Fortune. After clicking “Sign Up” and confirming my location in Ontario, I filled out a single form and clicked “Register” to get started. The entire process took me just five minutes. 

I’ve attached all the information you should have prepared before beginning your registration:

As the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario requires for all licensed casinos, I had to fill out my residential address and employment information before I could register with the site. This information was later verified by one of their support agents prior to approving my initial deposit. 

Before finalizing my account, I had to declare whether I was a Politically Exposed Person (PEP) and agree to their Terms/Privacy Policy by ticking the associated checkboxes. I also saw a box you can check to indicate whether you want to receive perks by phone, SMS and/or email.  

Once finished, I clicked “Register.” I was able to play their games in “demo mode” immediately.

Ruby Fortune doesn’t have a downloadable app for Ontario players, but they’ve downsized their mobile website for seamless gameplay on iOS and Android. I used my iPhone 13 and loaded up Safari to visit their site so I could add the page icon to my home screen using the middle button. 

After I signed into my account, I saw that their mobile website looks orders of magnitude better than their desktop website. The clunky icons at the top of the screen are replaced by minimalist buttons at the bottom of your phone screen. The row of game categories stays in the same spot. 

All their games loaded quickly on both mobile and desktop, but from a personal standpoint I’d have to give their mobile interface the win. Thankfully, their full gaming library is available on both fronts. 

Ruby Fortune is up against some serious competition, but every platform has their unique draw and this casino is no exception. Their progressive jackpots are some of the most tempting I’ve seen anywhere. They also have an exclusive Bingo selection and several arcade titles to match - which aren’t common at ON casinos. 

Their Wheel is an exciting feature that not many casinos have to offer. Everyone gets to spin it every four hours to get benefits, loyalty points, or nothing at all. I kept landing on the “Fast Forward” symbol, which reduced the time from four hours to two hours until my next spin. On the Wheel you can also win extra spins to use on the Mega Millionaire Wheel.

The loyalty program at Ruby Fortune consists of six levels. You can earn benefits on two separate games. You’ll receive 2,500 loyalty points with your first deposit, catapulting you from Bronze to Silver. I didn’t stick around long enough to progress to Gold, Platinum, Diamond, or Privé. Their last tier is by invite-only. As you get more points, you can swap them out in exchange for Credits.

I went through the deposit and withdrawal processes at Ruby Fortune and in this section I’m discussing the steps you’ll need to take based on personal experience. I used my VISA debit card to make an initial deposit. I clicked “Bank” and selected “Cards” from their screen of available payment methods. 

From here, I confirmed that I was the owner of the debit card I was using by clicking “Yes” and then “Continue.” I then selected “Own Amount” and typed in $10 before clicking “Next.” At this point, I entered my card number, expiry date, and CVC number. Finally, I clicked “Deposit” and saw the money reach my casino balance the next time I refreshed their website on my desktop. 

As I played games for the next few days, I won enough to hit the $50 minimum on Mystic Genie. I clicked “Bank” and then clicked “Withdraw” on the next screen. I picked Interac from the withdrawal screen, signed into my bank account, and clicked “Confirm” to finalize my $50 payout. Upon checking my available balance the next day, I saw an extra $50 waiting for me. It took approximately 24 hours to clear.

I spent 7 days making deposits and playing games at Ruby Fortune. I was able to play one spin on the Wheel every 4 hours by clicking on the corresponding tab at the top of my screen. I installed a Ruby Fortune shortcut on my desktop by clicking “Add to Home Screen” above that. 

There’s no downloadable app for Ruby Fortune, so I had to use their website to play games on my iPhone 13. Their user interface is very similar on both fronts, but I enjoyed less unnecessary clutter on mobile. The bottom row of downsized menu icons frees up a lot of screen space. You can access your account settings and loyalty perks by clicking on the username at the top-right. 

Clicking the “Casino Information” tab brings you to a screen with links to their Help Portal, Terms and Conditions, and Withdrawal Rules. I saw an option to self-exclude, take a short assessment to check your gambling habits, and set customizable limits in their Responsible Gaming section. 

I even saw a toggle that switches their background from Light to Dark for easier viewing at night. I’d like to see more casinos include this feature because I’m a personal fan of their “Dark” mode.

You can access the Cashier, Wheel, Help Centre, and Messages using their top row of menu icons. Next to this row, there’s a button that logs you out of the current session. Scrolling down their homepage, I saw all my recommended titles underneath the “For You” tab. 

Ruby Fortune’s user interface is somewhat dated, but it’s easy enough to find your way around.

I wasn’t able to find a downloadable app for Ruby Fortune, but I have no complaints about their mobile website. I logged into my account using Safari on my iPhone 13, and I was immediately redirected to their home page. Initially, I noticed just how similar their casino site is to a real app. 

I was able to look for games using the top row of categories, which condenses into a scrollable list for one-handed use. Their live casino games work best in landscape mode, but all their slots and jackpots work flawlessly no matter how you decide to hold your phone. I also appreciate the bottom row of menu icons. These offered me instant access to their benefits, Cashier, and more.

I wish they’d accept Apple Pay on iPhones, but Google Pay is still an option on mobile devices. I had a fantastic experience with their mobile website, and it rids their user interface of clutter that makes the desktop version of their casino website appear outdated and sloppy. My favorite part of using the Ruby Fortune website on mobile was having access to 450+ pocket-sized games.

The Help Centre offers a wealth of information, but you have to open one of their FAQs and click “Yes” at the bottom of your screen before you can see links to their live chat feature or phone number.

Yes, I’d recommend using Ruby Fortune to any Ontario players who want to try something new and different. They work with Microgaming to provide exclusive titles, so you won’t find many of their games at other casinos. While the interface might be outdated, their progressive jackpots certainly aren’t. 

High rollers can play eight variants of Maple Moolah. Many casinos in Ontario don’t have progressive jackpots to begin with, let alone seven-figure prizes for the luckiest winner.

I found their website to be very beginner-friendly. It’s loaded with unique features like the Mega Millionaire Wheel, Wheel, and a dedicated Bingo section. Arcade games provide a change of pace from the classics, and it’s easy to get the hang of making deposits and payouts.
